Lupus

Our 19th annual Virtual Walk the Loop for Lupus was a huge success!

Dear southern Arizona lupus community,

Thanks again for making our 2020 Virtual Walk the Loop for Lupus a success! At this time, we’d like to announce our top fundraising team and the non-sponsoring team with the most registered walkers.

In terms of pure fundraising, the top four teams were as follows:

Coffee Talk Gals with a total of $1450 raised!!!! (special thanks to Amy LaCross and Mireille Bearden!)

Photo Fun Booth with a total of $885 raised! (thanks, Jackie!)

Val’s Pals with a total of $695 raised! (thanks, Valerie!)

Loopies with a total of $565 raised! (thanks, Diane!)

Stand Strong, Team ADKPsi, and Team Tang also raised more than $300 each. Way to go captains!

The non-sponsoring team with the highest number of registered walkers was Stand Strong with a total of 15 individual registrations. Thanks, Kayleen! You always show up in a big way and this year was no exception!

With these numbers in mind, our two winners of a Heineken Beach Cruiser Bike (assembly required) are Terry Davis of Coffee Talk Gals, and Kayleen Strong of Stand Strong, for most money raised and most walkers registered. The bikes, which are in their original, unassembled state, can be picked up at our office. Let us know when you can swing by.

Thanks as well to all of our sponsors, who showed up in spite of COVID to support the Lupus Foundation of Southern Arizona!
